Get ready to start with a festive favourite – Santa Claus! Using just toilet rolls, fabric, card, and pipe cleaners, we created some fun, wiggly Santas with movable arms and legs. Why not gather your little elves and make your own Santa at home? What fun tune will your Santa dance to?
You’ll be amazed at how simple he is to make. With toilet rolls, scraps of card, and brown paint, you can craft his face, nose, and ears. Gather some sticks from the garden for his antlers, and don’t forget a touch of red glitter for his famous shiny nose. Add some colorful pom-poms for extra flair, and you’ll be ready to take flight with Rudolph!
Next up, we’re crafting some traditional Nutcrackers! These charming figures are said to bring good luck and protect your home—how festive is that?
All you need are toilet rolls, shiny paper scraps, and bits of card. Add some fluffy cotton wool for hair and decorate with metallic pens, gems, and ribbons. Before you know it, you’ll have your very own Nutcracker ready to dance the night away!
Do you want to build a snowman?
Grab some toilet rolls and white paint to create your very own frosty friend! Let your creativity shine with pens, ribbons, wool, and buttons to give him a unique style. Don’t forget—snowmen feel the chill too! Twist pipe cleaners together and add pom-poms to make him a cozy pair of funky earmuffs.
Run, run, as fast as you can—you can’t catch me, I’m the Planet Art gingerbread man! These speedy little characters are as big as our young artists and just as creative.
Made from brown paper, tissue paper raisin eyes, red wool smiles, shiny foil cheeks, recycled buttons, and wavy paper strips for icing, these gingerbread men are bursting with charm. Can you catch one before they dash away?
Give your front door a festive makeover with a homemade wreath! Start with a large paper plate as your base, then cut holly leaves from cereal boxes and craft berries from red felt. For an extra touch of texture, add pieces of egg cartons—our secret ingredient! Finish it off with a bright red bow and a sprinkle of shiny sequins for that perfect holiday sparkle. Your door will be the jolliest on the street!
Frosty the Snowman was a jolly happy soul!
We made his body from a yoghurt pot, his nose from a pom-pom, and used a Sharpie to draw his eyes. For arms, we added some sticks, and to make him feel extra friendly, we made lots of snowmen who all held hands! Now Frosty and his pals are ready to spread some winter cheer.
When we’re not busy building snowmen, we love hitting the ice, which inspired our super cute skaters! We crafted these adorable little skaters from old cereal boxes, cutting out their bodies and designing a whole wardrobe of snazzy outfits with card. Scarves, mittens, hats, jumpers, and trousers—if it’s stylish, we made it! And what’s an ice skater without shiny boots? We added glittering boots that sparkle like pixie dust on the ice. Watch out, Torvill and Dean!
Ho-ho-ho! Check out these stunning decorations! 🤩
Ready for a bit of magic? Gather around, kiddos, but be sure to have an adult nearby. We took old crayons and sprinkled the bits into our baubles. Then, we turned on the hair dryer and watched in awe as the wax melted and swirled. It was pure enchantment!
Ready to create your very own gingerbread wonderland? Start with brown paper bags to make the walls of your gingerbread house. Use brown card to craft the roof. Cut gingerbread men shapes from cardboard. For doors, windows, and Christmas trees, grab some scrap paper. Decorate everything with old buttons, pom-poms, sequins, and chalk pens to give it a frosty, festive touch.
Let’s create a colourful Christmas wreath! Start with a piece of A4 green paper. Fold the paper in half lengthwise. Cut along the folded edge to create strips of paper. Staple the strips together to form a wreath shape. Now, get creative! Decorate your wreath with pom-poms for a pop of colour.
Finish it off with a shiny red bow to make it extra festive! Your wreath is ready to hang!
For our '12th Day of Christmas Crafts,' here’s a quick and easy Santa for the kids to make on Christmas morning! Cut out a red triangle to make Santa’s body. For his face, cut a semi-circle from white paper, and snip into the bottom to create his fluffy beard. Add some black boots and colourful mittens to complete your jolly Santa!
